MILLBROOK SKATEPARK
Yesterday was happy chaos, and we loved every minute. Massive thanks to Geoff on the mic for keeping things on track, and the awesome riders, young and old, on all wheels who made the day what it was.
This wasn't just a jam, it was a statement. A village coming together. From early visionaries to generous sponsors, the ones who fought, who fundraised, you made this place yours.
This is just the beginning. Expect big things from this place.

The local community in Millbrook and the surrounding areas of the Rame Peninsula has a lot to celebrate after the opening of a brand new skatepark on Friday 29 March 2024. Thanks to its collective efforts, the community successfully raised over £280,000 to fund the construction of the skatepark and enhance the surrounding area.
Built by Maverick, the new skatepark’s timely completion allowed residents to enjoy the facility in time for the Easter holidays.

Constructed using poured and polished concrete, the skatepark pays homage to its coastal surroundings with a unique Wave feature to ride. The skatepark combines street elements, transitions and ramps to accommodate beginners all the way up to expert level.
Nicky Roberts, Chair of Millbrook Parish Council, said: "It's so brilliant to see people, young and old, visiting the skatepark and enjoying a free, healthy and entertaining way of keeping active and meeting as a community. We're very proud of the skatepark - it's a signal to our young people that they are valued in this community."
A dedicated group of local parents, skaters, and BMX riders established the Millbrook Skatepark Project in 2021. Their goal was to transform the 20-year-old existing rusted out ramps into a purpose-built spray concrete facility to cater for the passionate and active local wheeled sports community.
The project received support from various organizations, including Sport England, Cornwall Council, the Good Growth Fund, Samworth Brothers Sports Opportunity Fund, The Cornish Bakery, British Cycling Places to Ride, Heritage Lottery, The Royal Countryside Fund, The Cornwall Community Fund, Devon and Cornwall Police, and the UK Government Levelling Up initiative. Additionally, hundreds of local individuals and businesses pledged their support on Crowdfunder.co.uk.
Aaron Barrett, Chair of the Millbrook Skatepark Project, said: "We are blown away by the support we have received from the amazing people and businesses from the Rame Peninsula and beyond. It's amazing to see it for real. A huge thank you to all our supporters and Maverick who did an amazing job."
The celebratory Millbrook Skatepark Jam event is set to take place on Saturday 4th May 2024, with professional rider demos and competitions.
